Amber Montgomery is perfectly happy with her quiet life, running her bookstore, taking long walks with Reno, her Labrador retriever seizure-response dog, and spending time with her close-knit family. Sheโ€™s never needed thrills the way some of her sisters have. In an effort to control her epilepsy, she tries to avoid anything that creates too much excitement or stressโ€”including relationships.

When Amber hosts a book signing for famed-athlete-turned-author Dash Pennington, heโ€™s everything sheโ€™s spent her life avoiding: loud, aggressive, and far too handsome, as proven by the hordes of women who surround him everywhere he goes. Amber canโ€™t ignore the sparks flying between her and Dash, but this is a no-brainer for her: Ignore their chemistry and hold her breath until he leaves town.

Dash Pennington has spent his life running. Running the ball in for a touchdown, running from town to town to appease his public relations reps, and running into the arms of too many women to count. Heโ€™s also an expert at protectingโ€”his reputation, his sisters, and lately, his sanity. But heโ€™s ready to make a change.

When he comes to the sleepy little town of Oak Falls, Virginia, and witnesses the most beautiful woman heโ€™s ever seen living the life he craves, she refuses to have anything to do with him. But now that Dash has found the one thing he doesnโ€™t want to run from, heโ€™ll stop at nothing to win her over.

Review ~ Roping Melanie by Melissa Ellen

Roping Melanie by Melissa Ellen is now live!

I truly enjoyed it. It was well written with a great storyline and wonderful characters!ย Melissa Ellen pens another sweet and delightful romance novel,ย Mel and Nash’s story was pure romance from start to finish. Little Avery was the icing on the cake in this second chance story.

Melanie is sweet, a wonderful mom and independent. You understand why she is so gun shy when it comes to Nash re-entering the picture. Nash is s rodeo star and never got over his one night with Melanie. You feel the draw between them from the start. You feel the fight to give in or not to. I was able to get and advance copy and I was so excited to see how Roping Melanie would draw me in even more to Billingsley. I truly feel like I know these characters and this charming town. I find myself lost in the stories and this one was no disappointment. I just love how the characterโ€™s stories tie together and continue to grow through each book on the series. If you enjoy being lulled by the small country town antics, this ones for you!

This book has all the feels, itโ€™s beautifully written, itโ€™s a heartfelt story , it has wonderful characters and Avery has some classic one liners only a child can deliver. I smiled, I giggled, I swooned and I sighed as I joined the residents of Billingsley and I guess all thatโ€™s left to say is if small town/second chance/ single parent is your jam please one click this gem.

What can you say, A stong beautiful headstrong woman who has never know passion and a strong, drop dead gorgeous, masculine, very virle man who abducts her for revenge against her uncle. Well, you put those two together and you know fire works will go off and boy does it! Brenda Joyce writes so good that you know but can’t wait until the two main characters realize that love will conquer all…even revenge!! Loved it!

Great Historical Romance

In 1798 Ireland ten years old Devlin OยฟNeill watches English Captain Harold Hughes cut off the head of his father and burn his family property. He vows to one day avenge his sires murder……………………….

In 1812 with her parents recently dead, her aristocratic English uncle sends eighteen years old Virginia Hughes to finishing school for the next three years before he plans to marry her off. She hates the school so she leaves and returns to her familys Virginia plantation Sweet Briar where she learns the place is bankrupt and will be sold to pay off debts. Virginia decides to visit her Uncle Harold to obtain funding for her plantation……………………

Also in 1812, Devlin is the best of His MajestyPirates so Lord Liverpool reassigns him and his crew of the Defiance from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic to frighten American ships into turning around. Though he has had much success financially destroying Harold, he learns that his enemy’s niece is sailing from America. Devlin abducts Virginia on the high seas to use as a pawn. However, her courage and conviction begins to mend his heart as they fall in love, but Uncle Harold stands between them……………………..

This is an exciting early nineteenth century romance starring two terrific protagonists with different agendas that converge over the same man that both detest. The storyline provides insight into the beginnings of the War of 1812, but clearly focuses on Devlin thirst for revenge dampened as he gets to know Virginia. Harold is too vile of a villain to matter, but the lead couple and the intrigue her abduction brings to the highest levels of government make this novel a prize for historical readers.

Review ~ Tempted by Love by Melissa Foster

TEMPTED BY LOVE is the first instalment in Melissa Fosterโ€™s contemporary, adult THE STEELES OF SILVER ISLAND erotic , romance series- another spin off from the authorโ€™s LOVE IN BLOOM series. This is writer Jack โ€˜Jockโ€™ Steele, and event planner/single mother Daphne Zablonskiโ€™s story line.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Jock and Daphne) TEMPTED BY LOVE follows the building romance and relationship between twenty six year old Event planner / singles mother Daphne Zablonski, and author Jack โ€˜Jockโ€™ Steele. Daphne Zablonski is a single mother whose attraction to author Jock Steele is tempered by Jockโ€™s reactions to her three year old daughter Hadley. Believing Jock dislikes children, especially her daughter Hadley, Daphne struggles with her attraction to a man who may be all kinds of wrong in Daphneโ€™s life until Jock reveals the truth behind his reluctance including the death of his former girlfriend and unborn child years earlier. Jock is lost upon Harvey Fineโ€™s death, another death he struggles to move beyond. Meeting Daphne Zablonski gave Jock thoughts about a new beginning but Jock continued to battle the demons from his past, until a small three year old child fell in love with our story line hero. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Jock and Daphne, and the potential fall-out as history starts to repeat itself.

Daphne Zablonskiโ€™s husband left when their daughter was seven days old. A single mother, working as a receptionist, scheduling vacation rentals, Daphneโ€™s heart focused on event planning but when her boss had no plans for expanding his business, Daphne struggled with a direction in life. With her daughter her first priority, Daphne knew it was only a matter of time before something better came along, including the love of a man who continued to star in her fantasies. Jock Steeleโ€™s guilt over the death of his girlfriend and unborn child continue to haunt his days and night. Falling for single mother Daphne Zablonski meant having to face his demons in the guise of a three year old child. Slowly, succumbing to the love and spontaneity of Daphneโ€™s daughter, Jock knew he could overcome his previous losses until everything begins to spiral out of control.

The relationship between Jock and Daphne begins as a friendship threatened by Jockโ€™s inability to accept Daphneโ€™s daughter. One year would pass as our couple lusted after one another-from a distance-until Daphne decided she had had enough. The love making scenes are intimate, intense and passionate.

There is a very large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including both Daphne and Jockโ€™s immediate and extended families, friends, and several of the couples we have met in previous story lines and series.

TEMPTED BY LOVE is a heart breaking and emotional story line of love, loss, acceptance and moving forward. The premise is emotional and impassioned; the romance is captivating and seductive; the characters are broken, dynamic and charismatic. Melissa Foster has another hit series in the making .

Review ~ Fighting For Us (Bailey Brothers #2)by Claire Kingsley

โ€œSometimes when a man goes to war, he has to make himself forget the people he leaves behind. Itโ€™s the only way he can become the warrior he needs to be to survive.โ€ย

I fell hard for Asher and Grace in Protecting You, but we knew their troubles were far from over. Picking up this book, I was immediately immersed back in their world. My heart broke for Asher and Grace and the struggles they faced as Asher returned home. There were times I wanted to scream at him to get it together, but this story is so well written that I could completely understand why that just wasnโ€™t possible in the beginning.

However, even with such a push and pull with so many struggles to overcome, I still found myself laughing and smiling several times throughout this book. The pranks and shenanigans that go on had me laughing, and I found myself falling even harder for all of the other Bailey brothers. Even when Asher was having such a hard time, his love for Grace was never in question, and he made me swoon more than a few times.

The real star of this book to me, however, was Grace. I absolutely love Grace. She is the perfect combination of sassy and sweet. She loves Asher with all that she has. She is strong and supportive, but she also lets herself fall apart from time to time. And while she stands by Asher and loves him so, so much, she still has a backbone. I loved her from beginning to end and canโ€™t wait to see her pop up again in the rest of this series! This is some of Kingsleyโ€™s best writing.

Within a handful of pages, Claire has a way of making us fall in love with the families she creates as though we were born and raised alongside them. After this book, I am just as much in love with the Baileys, as I am with Asher and Grace.

Review~ YOU LOVED ME ONCE by Corinne Michaels

My Heart!

One thing I know about a Corinne Michaels book is that it will hit you hard with the feels and your emotions will be a mess by the time it is over. You Loved Me Once was just that. Serenity has been through so much in her life already and to be where she is in her field is astounding. Westin is just one of those guys you cannot help but adore. He is one of her biggest cheerleaders.

This was such a beautiful story of love, grief, letting go, and moving forward. I can’ say too much but have your tissues ready. I love the relationship between Westin and Serenity and how it slowly progressed to more. It’s a slow burn of sorts with so much passion and understanding I was hooked on it from the beginning and I didn’t put the book down until I was done.

This breathtaking story about Serenity & Westin is one of hope, heartbreak, courage, and unconditional love. Michaels skillfully revealed this story in alternating past and present sequence allowing me to be truly engaged both emotionally and thoughtfully. She expertly weaved a tale of sacrifice, and heartbreak, but ultimately of hope, healing, and love. I loved both Serenity & Westin for their strength, love and devotion.

Michaels created an exquisite story that moved me to tears both from heartache and joy. She takes us on an exhilarating journey that will leave you raw and breathless and totally satisfied. I loved every word of this beautiful, passionate, and poignant love story!

Review ~ Falling for the Villain by Rachel Van Dyken and M.Robinson

โ€œPlay for me, Juliet.โ€

Must read if you like dark romance!

I’m not sure what I was expecting with Falling for the Villain, but it sure wasn’t the heart racing, Kindle melting, page-turner that this book turned out to be. Beautifully Dark.

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Juliet & Donovan Juliet is a pianist and daughter of a mob boss. Though she grew up in the world sheโ€™s been sheltered from it most her life. Donovan is a โ€œtrainerโ€ of submissives. He is dominating, sadistic and fierce.

He was incapable of love; he told me so the first day we met.

โ€œI wonโ€™t love you. Ever.โ€ His jaw clenched. โ€œMake no mistake, though, your days as Juliet Sinacore are finished. But your days as my pet have only just begun.โ€

It is Dark. Twisted. Full of Drama and Angst. Mafia. Tragedy.Donovan and Juliet donโ€™t have a traditional romance. From the moment Donovan kidnapped Juliet, this journey took me out of my comfort zone and forced me to keep an open mind to truly experience and appreciate the relationship these two would have.

The world that Donovan rules is ruthless and horrific. But to peel back the layers and find the man behind the mask provides the perfect balance to the good vs evil in this story. Juliet is impressive with her strength and courage. Through a crazy situation, she shows that she is a Sinacore and can handle whatever is thrown at her.

I loved him. He loved me.

And a villain in loveโ€ฆ Was a very dangerous thing.

Falling for the Villain was and amazing read. Donovan and Juliets story will have you on the edge of your seat.I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Review ~ The Wicked Aftermath by Melissa Foster

โ€œI love you, Benson Wicked. I love you so much I can no longer picture my life with the girls without seeing you right there by our sides.โ€

The Wicked Aftermath is an emotionally gripping story of love and loss.

The storyline is absolutely amazing and beautiful. This book just tuged my heart. It was very emotionally charged and heartwrenching. This book is not only book once you start this journey you will not be able to put it down.

Not only Tank and Leah’s Story is so emotional, also the Wickeds and Dark knights embrace and support them that we will feel it in a deep soul.

Tank is protective towards anyone in his family and among the community. Leah seems a little gun shy. When tragedy hitsย  Tank and Leah both needs to learn how to breathe.

Tank is all about family and the Club, his tattoo shop and motorcycles. He carries sadness deep inside since his sister Ashley died. Leah’s is been on his mind since he met her and intrigued him. One night he finally gets to meet her for real and in a dark moment; his own life changes along with her.

Now let me tell you I love the relationship Leah had with his brother river and his girls. His daughters Junie and Rosie were adorable and cutest little ones. They make each and every moment happier and the way they say Papa Tank has my heart. Oh and also Leah makes those beautiful memory blankets which was so amazing.

Sheโ€™d embroidered their names and the names of each of his family members on leaves, including River. Along the bottom of the blanket were “THE DARK KNIGHTS AT BAYSIDE, a Motorcycle, and LOVE, LOYALTY, AND RESPECT FOR ALL.

The way Tank takes cares of those little munchkins was really adorable, Junie was wiser one and rosie was bubbly and sweet.

โ€œBut Iโ€™m not a career firefighter. Iโ€™m a biker and a tattoo artist. And more importantly, Iโ€™m your man and Papa Tank to the girls.โ€

I laughed, cried and loved each and every moment of them together and the romance was also so passionate. I absolutely loved it. Five stars is simply not enough for this book.

โ€œMarry me, Lee. Let me be Papa Tank for real . Weโ€™ll have more babies with wild hair who ask too many questions and ruin dates, only to make them twice as good as they would have been.โ€

The most emotional book by Melissa Foster and I simply can’t have enough of her. Trust me you don’t want to miss this one fantastic novel.
