Review ~ The Sophomore (College Years #2) by Monica Murphy

“You and me we are going to conquer the world together”.

“What can I say about Monica Murphy that I haven’t already said a million times? Every single book I’ve read by her is just amazing! She is just one of those authors that I’m positive I’ll love her next book before I’ve even read it, and this one was no exception!

Unrequited Love story is my favorite trope. I really loved this one and could not put this one down. I loved these two so much. Jackson and Ellie.hit all my buttons for a great story I read in one sitting.

When Monica announced this series I was SO excited-but not for the reasons you’d think. I was so in love with the Callahan kids, I was desperate to get even more of them- even if they were just glimmers in these stories.

It is exactly what I expected when it comes to Jackson and Ellie and then some. I was drawn into the story that Ms. Murphy wove about Jackson and Ellie from the first chapter as the characters were engaging and the story well written.

Their friendship was solid but the potential for so much more was always at their fingertips.Jackson is hard to love at first, yet you want to because he just has this glamour that draws you to him. Ellie on the other hand a super sweetie that is finally developing a backbone when it comes to dealing with Jackson, although she still puts up with a lot of crap from him after many years of pining for him since she first met him in high school.

This series really is amazing and a MUST READ for all the romance readers who love a great college, sports romance with lots of angst, drama, great friendships, music, sexy times and just a truly wonderful storyline with some unexpected nail biting moments thrown in.

“The Sophomore” can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend starting with “The Freshman” so you don’t miss out on any of the lives and back stories of all the characters who carry over into each book. 😍😍😍😍

Excerpt ~ The Sophomore (College Years #2) by Monica Murphy

Jackson Rivers.

My not so secret crush.

He’s popular. Gorgeous. Talented.

Also my biggest weakness.

I’ve stood by him for years. Been a friend every time he needed one, but he doesn’t see me. Not like I want him to.

Move on, my friends said. Find someone new. Someone who sees your worth. Someone who gets you. I know they’re right. I’m only a friend to him. He’s never going to see me like I see him. So I take their advice, and try to move on.

But Jackson is always right there. In my face. Running to my rescue. And when I meet someone else, Jackson isn’t having it. For some reason, he’s suddenly determined to stay in my life. Right by my side.

Now he says he wants me, but does he want an actual relationship? Or is that he can’t stand the thought of losing me to another guy?

It’s time to find out what Jackson truly wants…and I’m going to make him work for it.

For me.

Review ~ Love the Way You Kiss Me by Willow Winters & Amelia Wilde

“With everything I have been through, and the unfortunate way we met, the last thing I would be focused on the fact that I love the way you kiss me.”

I went through every emotion possible when reading this. It hurt. But my word was it worth it! I couldn’t put it down. I read it cover to cover and still couldn’t breathe after I finished. I am blown away.I love these characters. The emotion and passion that Willow writes into every page blows me away. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat and kept my heart racing.

One that will stay with me for a very long time.I was blown away with the depth we were taken and feeling the pain and anguish they both felt, the desire, the want and need, the terror, the fear, knowing the worst has yet to come.My love for this book is Endless!Ella and Zander share a combustible chemistry with just a look,This story just makes me say Wow.

I should have known that when you put Willow Winters and Amelia Wilde writing a book together it will be awesome and erotic and a little dark at times but it kept me reading this rollercoaster book. Zander. He’s so damn dreamy and the way he treats Ella just makes my heart melt. I can’t sum him up in another way. He’s just the one person who truly gets Ella.

As the book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and with lots of secrets still to come out I can’t wait for the continuation as I’m eager to learn what has happened to Elle in the past and most definitely what’s going to happen in the future . “I need more more more”….Love the Way You Kiss Me by W. Winters and Amelia Wilde is for you! And that would be everyone because who doesn’t need a book like this? Can’t wait for the second book to see what happens.

THE WICKED AFTERMATH is an emotionally gripping story of love, loss, and hope, with a rich and entrancing happily ever after.

Set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the Wickeds feature fiercely protective heroes, strong heroines, and unbreakable family bonds. If you think bikers are all the same, you haven’t met the Dark Knights.

The Dark Knights are a motorcycle club, not a gang. Their members stick together like family and will stop at nothing to keep their communities safe.

When the person you blame for your grief is the only one who can save you from the pain…

Tank Wicked lost his sister and has since vowed to save everyone else in his path. He lives by the creed of the Dark Knights motorcycle club, sworn to protect and respect his community. He selflessly saves lives as a volunteer firefighter and treats the men and women who work for him at his tattoo shop like family. But life isn’t a balance scale where good deeds negate bad things to come, and one foggy night life guts Tank once again. When a car careens over the side of a bridge and into a river, Tank springs into action, plunging into the water to rescue the passengers. Four people go into the river, but only three come out alive.

She continued looking at him.Trying to put the pieces of thoughtful man she was getting to know together with the harsh man she thought he was but it was like they were two pieces from two different puzzle boxes and she had the wrong impression all along.

Leah Yates is just trying to make it through each day. When the man she blames for her grief becomes the only one who can pull her from the depths of despair, she discovers that even hope comes at a price. Maybe this time she won’t have to face it alone

Review ~Asher by Carian Cole

Carian Cole took me to a heartbreaking and exceptionally emotional journey of true love on Asher. She showed and explored that kind of epic and soul shattering love that exists in our dreams and legends.

An awe-Inspiring read ! a Love story that is a deep emotional journey – worth the wait!

Asher and Ember have been linked and intertwined since the time when most people don’t even know the meaning of love. They made a life of happiness and bliss. They are popular and genius music stars and they have a beautiful family. Their story comes to a screeching halt when Ember goes into coma after an accident. And Asher stayed by her side moving heaven and hell to make her come back. And she did after eight years. Only the old Ember is lost. She doesn’t remember anything or anyone. How will Asher fight this losing battle?

My heart cracked open and bled for Asher. The author has some extraordinary brilliance while it comes to bring out most painful, raw and soul deep emotions. I could feel the desperation, the frustration, the depression, the agony and the agitation of Asher’s heart trapped in a nightmare.

My heart broke for Ember who lost everything and had to start a new life that will never be the same. But true love is a powerful weapon. And so they will get that back in a different and probably better version.

“Ember’s awake. My wife, my twin flame, my everything has come back to me.”

Sounds like a reason to celebrate but for one tiny thing – Ember’s not the same woman from 8 years ago. She doesn’t remember her life with Ash, doesn’t remember their love, their daughter, their friends/family. So now she’s got to figure out how to live her new reality, with a husband in love with someone she doesn’t recognize, doesn’t remember.

The author took me through the emotional ride, when Asher and Ember struggled like crazy and one time, I just cried so much. This story was about believing in love in darkest days of life.

Their journey is long, painful, emotionally fraught. It’s everything I had been hoping for, waiting for, expecting. It may have gutted me, but I relished it, and I LOVE it. No one deserved their happiness more than this couple, no one. So glad I finally got to read it!!

Asher by Carian Cole was an emotional tornado but it left me whole rather than destroyed. Standing ovation for the author’s incredible writing.

Review ~ Mafia King (Mafia Royals, #3.5) by Rachel Van Dyken

Mafia King is a sassy and steamy romp, laced with an emotional love affair between an undercover FBI agent who feels more at home with his mafia Family and the mafia princess who’ll either get him killed or bring him to his knees.

Tank is going to Hell. Well, he’s already pretty much there. An undercover FBI agent straddling the line between his duty and the five mafia families. He has been living a double life and trying to live by at least his own rules and following the others that he can. He has already been watching out for a mafia princess who has now turned into a little rebel, and now has been charged with guarding her in a foreign country for two weeks.

It will probably require him to finally choose his loyalty once and for all and it just might kill him.

Kartina Abandonato went from Daddy’s sweet girl to a broken, guarded, rebellious she-devil in one night. She may be tiny, but she is also smart, sarcastic, tough, and challenging. She is troubled and has secrets, and has only pushed boundaries more and more in the past year. And Tank is her favorite to taunt and torture. But deep down she is lost and looking for an anchor, as well as some peace and acceptance.

These two are full of fire and barbs. She loves to exasperate him and he thrives on pushing her. But under it all she wants a knight in shining armor to at least want to protect and save her, even if she does not really need it. And he wants what he knows is not his to take.

But there are plenty of secrets and hidden agendas still prevalent in the situation. And it looks like before the end of this vacation, some decision will be made by him or for him…one way or another. Hopefully, no one has to die…this time.

This can be read as a stand-alone, and is a bit lighter read than some of the others in this series. But it also brings back most of the important mafia crew, both the younger set and originals. There is always some more drama swirling in the background and I cannot wait to get more with Maksim, Izzy, and King

Review ~ Maybe We Will (Silver Harbor#1) by Melissa Foster

Maybe We Will ~ I cannot even put into words how heartwarming and beautiful this book was. 5 Stars are not enough!! Melissa Foster once again creates a world that her readers want to be part of. The characters are so well developed that they feel like real people.

Maybe We Will is the incredible new release from Melissa Foster, and it is the first book in the Silver Harbour series. This book surprised me in how much I enjoyed it.

The storyline had me on the edge of my seat from the dedication page. With each chapter you become so involved in the story you do not want to see it end. A true masterpiece.

Once again Melissa Foster writes a book that will stay with the readers long after they get to the last page. Definitely a top read.Aiden and Abby are so adorable.Abby following her heart is really committed leaving the job, relationship and follow her gut is really tremendous to run bistro which once was really a beautiful dream for her father and mother.

Abby is a bit of a dreamer. She was just as smitten of Aiden, and he completely swept her off her feet. Abby now gets to live that dream and Aiden helping her so far is really appreciated. Because that’s what a relationship is all about help your partner.

The relationship between the sisters was so pure even after Cait just met them after her mother’s death. Also Aiden’s relationship with remi was really heart touching. The letter which Abby’s mom wrote to her daughters was full of emotions.

A beautifully written story filled with high emotions, fabulous characters and an honest heart wrenching plot that sucked us all in.

Melissa continues with her utter perfection of true love and family drama. 5 stars are not enough.

Review~Could Have Been Us (Willow Creek Valley #2) by Corinne Michaels

It’s no secret I love Corinne Michaels writing/books big.

“I have loved her more than any man has ever loved any woman. And yet, I can’t have her.”

Could have been us this book. Omg. THIS BOOK. There are so many things I want to say about this book and so many things I can’t say. Good god. I’m still on an emotional high.In a few pages, Corinne had captivated me and I was dying to read more.

As the release approached I went crazy trying to win an arc , because I wanted to make sure I would have the chance to read it early. But I didn’t get a chance to win arc and that’s ok as I bought and read it. This story affected me in so many ways: it made me laugh, cry and swoon.Jack and Stella along with kinsley has my heart ❤❤❤❤

After reading all of Corinne’s books I have learned to expect the unexpected and this book may seem like your cookie cutter romance, but it’s not. All of her books deliver on so many levels, but this one left me gasping, breathless, begging for more.🥺🥺🥺🌻.

Review ~ Captain (Black Ops MMA #3)by D.M.Davis

D.M. Davis’ CAPTAIN is a heart-wrenching, sexy contemporary romance full of forgiveness, second chances, and healing.

“Sometimes you have to break to become the person you’re meant to be.”

Captain is an intense, intoxicating, and incredible story of epic love, the kind that strikes hard and fast like lightning, scorching the soul and crashing through the heart while emotions pour like a rain storm. After just a few pages, I was swept into this story with a force as strong as the wind.

Captivated. Consumed. Controlled. I was all in—so much that it was difficult to tell where the story and I began, and ended. Body trembling. Breath holding. Fingers coiling. Eyes tearing. Lips quivering. Heart beating. Emotions bleeding. Mouth smiling. I want to hug them both, as they are suffering from demons long locked up but waiting to be freed.

Five stars are simply not enough for this emotional roller coaster ride. This beautiful and brilliant story stole everything. My heart. My soul. Every feel.

Review ~ We’re Made of Momentsby Molly McLain

THIS IS A MUST READ! I couldn’t put it down and when I had to, all I wanted to do is get back to reading it! The story is unique and one I haven’t read before.

This is a beautiful read.If you enjoy emotional books then give this one a look. I read it in one sitting and couldn’t actually believe it was over when I got to the end. These two main characters had a special kind of connection and I was just glad they found solace in each other. And I can sleep well at night knowing they are living out their happily ever after somewhere on the pages of a book.

Such a beautiful, unique, emotional and intense story.I was hooked and I couldn’t put it down.
